Most of the crimes in this section are “strike” offenses.  The 3-Strikes law in California is complex and very punishing.  Avoiding convictions in this area is always a goal of a good criminal defense attorney.

We are talking about charges of murder (1st or 2nd degree), manslaughter, sex crimes, kidnapping, carjacking, and any crimes that come with allegations of gang involvement, use of a weapon, or that someone suffered great/serious bodily injury.

A conviction for a “strike” offense can follow you for the rest of your life.  It can mean increased punishment at the time of the conviction as well as for any later conviction.  Also, being guilty of almost every sex-related crime in California (e.g.,  sexual battery, rape, possession of pornography, attempted lewd conduct with a minor resulting from an internet “sting” operation) can be devastating.  Whether the conviction is for a misdemeanor or felony, you could be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of your life.

Donna L. Connally has represented a number of clients in Rancho Cucamonga, San Bernardino, and Victorville, who were charged with these crimes.  Do not take chances with your own future or that of your family.  Consult with Ms. Connally, an experienced and highly-qualified San Bernardino criminal attorney, about your case.
